Mondays start the week for most. A new cycle begins, which often comes with dread. On Mondays, then, we require confidence, determination, and resilience.
We remind ourselves periodically that we must rededicate ourselves to our Mission.
Garden of Forking Paths
When I practice peace,
I create a light
That radiates outward,
As ripples on a pond.
Neither dictates from one,
Nor ballots from many,
Shall steal our peace
Or dim our light.
The light is yours, and
It is mine.
We shall build a Society and
In harmony entwine.
Once together,
We can commit,
Bound by mutual consent.
Once we’ve seen our commitments through,
I am free to wander,
And so are you.
We’re sovereign,
So let us work,
In common interests,
In common need.
Our bond is strong,
Is that enough
To plant a community’s seed?
With Reason’s might
And an exit right,
We might linger here as friends.
But if paths diverge,
We hold Six Spheres,
To pursue our differing ends.
For only in peace
Might we live,
And live well,
To start anew,
And on forking paths continue.
