Mithra: Justice and Covenants
The third of the four avatars presented in London. (Mithra represents Autumn)
Who wakes me?
It is they who call upon me. But what is their purpose?
They claim to seek what pleases me, yet they know I am the enemy of deceivers.
They speak of truth, and indeed, they seek it.
Why do they seek my favor?
I bring balance, they say.
But why awaken me? I am but the spawn of their imagining,
An avatar conjured from their need.
I am the response to their call, the echo in the Mithraeum.
What is their mission?
To live by consent, to live in peace.
Then I decree: MUST shall kneel to OUGHT
For I am the Lord of Covenants.
Where there is strife, I am the mediator.
I am the Lady of Freedom and Justice.
And where there is a mind-war,
I am the advantage.
They ask for blessings on this battlefield.
Where there is a proposition, there is a negation—a dusk for a dawn.
I am the superposition, a balance between forces.
They are sublation, resolving contradictions.
And as I transform,
So shall they become.
