Zurvan: Time and Death
The fourth of the four avatars presented in London. (Zurvan represents Winter.)
Who kneels before the Keeper of Time?
I sense those who pray I will delay the inevitable.
At least you bring the knowledge
That death comes for all of us
How shall you live knowing this?
With purpose, as if this life is all there is.
But if an afterlife awaits?
Live with reverence, preparing to join the All.
If born again into new skin, how will you ascend?
To climb the cosmic ladder, you must live in virtue.
And if every moment in this life endlessly recurs
You must live with passion, making each moment worth repeating.
What gifts do you bring?
White roses with black thorns?
To don the grey, you must make sacrifices:
Your hubris, your dogmas, your illusions of control.
If the blood moon rises, what will you choose?
Weave all the possibilities into a life so rich it defies death.
Then, build a society that transcends time,
And echoes through the ages like the words that made light.
If this is your fate, what shall become of you?
You shall be immortal—not in body, but in posterity.
I command you to go forth and build an empire of the mind.
Wear the grey robes and leave traces of the eternal.
